Exceeding Expectations

We sell both half and whole lamb farm to consumer direct. The price per pound is based on the hanging weight, after the hide, head, hooves and organs are removed at slaughter. Upon making this choice for deep nourishment, we ask for a $75 deposit that goes toward your total.

Whole Lamb: Hanging weight is typically 62~65 lbs. Price is $4.25/lb hanging weight. Slaughter fee is $85 and the customer pays the butcher $80 directly for custom preparations of and wrapped cuts of meat. The total cost for a whole lamb is roughly $440, which yields approx 45lbs of take home meat. That means your price ends up averaging out to just under $10/lb of meat, much lower than at a grocery store.

Half Lamb: Price is $5.00/lb hanging weight. Slaughter fee is $42.50 and the customer pays the butcher $40 directly for custom preparations of and wrapped cuts of meat. The total cost for half of a lamb is roughly $245, which yields approx 23lbs of take home meat. That means your price ends up averaging out to just under $11/lb of meat.
